Ordering in USA going to Philippines using JOHHNYAIRPLUS

This is my first blog, so I'm really happy that I can share my experience with you guy's. I really wanted to order on amazon last year, but I always postponed it because I always bothered about the taxes here in the Philippines. So before I choose a carrier that can cater my needs I do some research of different couriers like myus.com, Johhnyair and shopping cart. So I compared their prices, but I choose Johhnyair still because they have lots of reviews, but there are some negative reviews also, I still tried it! So here it comes!!

HOW SHOULD YOU USE JOHHNYAIR?

First, you need to create an account with them and contact customer support in manila if your from manila, and If you from Cebu contact Visayas live chat and for Mindanao contact Davao live chat. They have 3 branches here in the Philippines, which is here in metro manila which is located in Makati. Davao and Cebu.Then they will give you a direct person to contact and catered your needs. Since I'm from Las pinas they gave me contact person in Makati, who can accommodate and responds to all my questions. They responded via email to me and also I can contact them via cell phone number they provided.After verifying your account with them, they will ask you to pay 100php for the membership fee card called " JOHHNYAIR PLUS CARD". You will use this for every transaction and you can earn points every shipment. I paid via BDO since that's the only options for paying the membership fee card. After that you need to give them the screenshot of the payment via email. Then, you can use the consolidation program.

WHAT IS CONSOLIDATION?

This is the term used for combining all items in a single box. 


CONS

•  The only thing I don't like in Johhnyair is the time waiting frame, It takes only 10 business days they will wait all your items. If some items did not meet the cutoff date or time they will ship your parcel even some of the items still on the way to their warehouse.

PROS

• I really liked the way they packed my parcel since amazon had larger boxes when they ship items to their customers. Johhnyair did a good packing, They will only put the box packaging of the items!

• No, Additional customs taxes. If they say you will pay PHP 6,000, that's the only charge you need to pay. That's a great thing because I was so disappointed to other carriers like DHL. ( I will make another blog about DHL)

• Takes only 6 business days to get your parcel. So time waiting frame is 10 business days + 6 business days = 16 days. But if you only have one item, I think it's much faster. Since I had 32 items ordered in the amazon, They need to wait for all of them.

• They will send you a google sheet where you can put all the tracking numbers and order # of the orders you ordered in different websites, So they can track all items which are on the way to their warehouse.
• If you are a new member you can get discounts on your first order. They will give you PHP 400 or PHP 300 discount. I don't remember how much the discount but something like that!
• You can go directly to their office and pick up your parcel there, Since I'm from manila I need to pick up it to the Makati office of Johhnyair. Just check johhnyair for more info on their address. But since I don't want hassle I choose to directly ship it on my doorstep, but there's a fee for that, You need to pay additional $10 for shipping door to door.

HOW MUCH I PAID FOR MY PARCEL?

My parcel consists of 32 items so I paid PHP 6,450 including shipping on my doorstep. But I only pay PHP 6,100 because I got a discount for the first order since I'm a new member.

HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE PER LBS?

Take note It's not per kg but per pounds. So, first 1 Lbs = 27$ then every additional will be $5 something.
